Farewell Good Friends

Untitled

JC & Katrina have moved on
08/31~09/01/2012 @ 수원 & 홍대 [Suwon & Hongdae]

This was a very emotional weekend. JC was my first friend in Korea and my one true constant. Shorty after this, I got to know Katrina. She started working with me over a year ago and quickly became another one of my best friends. I've been missing them for quite some time now, and I wish them the best.

End of Summer Semester at Avalon 2012

Two Years Down
08/30~31/2012 @ 수원 [Suwon]

I have just completed my second year at Avalon and have undertaken some new responsibilities. For the last month and a half, I've been working has the head teacher at my academy. It has been making my life mighty busy, and this is why I haven't posted in ages. Things are starting to settle down, so I'm going to try posting seven posts in seven days. I've done it once before, so let's try it again.

Here are some photos of the little ones on the last day of the Summer term. Some are DSLR and some are iPhone, but it doesn't change the fact that the kids are great.

Typhoon Day

Untitled

Typhoon Bolaven
08/28/2012 @ 수원 [Suwon]

Last week, on Tuesday, I was getting prepared for our Fall Semester workshop. I knew there was a typhoon coming, but I hadn't heard anything about work, so I walked to work a couple hours early in typhoon winds. I sat down at a cafe and ordered a drink. Before I had even received my drink, my phone rang; it was JC.

ME: Hello.
JC: Hey. What do you think about having a wii party?
ME: After work? Sure.
JC: Nope. Right now!

Work was cancelled for what I would consider pretty much nothing. The typhoon didn't even hit Suwon very hard. One would most likely call the weather in Suwon extra blustery. Either way, we had no work, so it was a hangout day. We drank, ate & played wii. Here are some photos, and I'll post a video later this week that I'm working on.
