Celia's Last Night in Korea

Time seems to go by so quickly over here. It felt like Celia had just arrived, but she's already gone. Not only was she fantastic at her job, but she was a wonderful person to be around. She always had a positive attitude and embraced just about everything. She will be greatly missed around these parts.

Seeing as though she was on the way out, we decided to do Seoul right, which obviously meant 홍대 [Hongdae]. We went out early for some 닭갈비 [Chicken Galbi], she got her first tattoo, we had a beer in the park atop the bathrooms, we drank, we danced, we had pizza, and took a pleasant taxi ride home at a reasonable hour.

( Like most days, we started the journey at our local CU. )

( We went to Bar 다, the best bar in Korea. )

( But if we hadn't, this hilarious picture of Celia & Wyatt wouldn't exist. )

( Everyone managed to climb down without incident. )

( It's kind of funny that we are able to do this with tons of people walking past every few seconds. People look up and shrug their shoulders. Another reason I love this country. )


( It took us quite awhile to climb down. )

( Next, we went to Thursday Party for drinks and darts. )

( It was nice being at Thursday Party on a Friday. It was far less crowded, at least it was in the beginning. )

How to get to Hongdae:

Hongik University Station [홍대입구역] (Seoul Subway Line 2) - Exit 9 / Exit 8 

Exit 9 is the most common exit that will take you straight to the fun. I personally like exit 8; it's a little farther away from the action, but far less busy. I've included a map with the places in this post starred. 

Sangsu Station [상수역] (Seoul Subway Line 6) - Exit 1 (((For Club FF)))
